On Lectio Divina

Lectio Divina (holy reading) is a method of reading scripture that puts the accent on listening to the living voice of the Holy Spirit speak through the text of Sacred Scripture to me. Its focus is not on authorial intent, context, original languages (although it does not plow roughshod over those things). Its goal is to move deeper into the text to hear from God.

I am not much good at this practice yet. I am a learner and am working on engaging it more regularly.

Here is a link to a great explanation of lectio divina.
